ABSTRACT:
This paper is concerned with the elastic buckling of rectangular simply supported
orthotropic plates subjected to unequal end biaxial compressive loads. Finite element program
(COSMOS/M 2.6) is used to solve some models of this plate. Some graphs are presented to
show the relation between plate aspect ratio, biaxial load ratio, elastic modulus ratio and
critical buckling load. These results will be useful to engineers who design plates.
