يتناول البحث أحد موضوعات الساعة، الذي تتزايد أهميته، ليس على المستوى العربي فحسب، بل في معظم بلدان العالم. كون التنمية السياحية باتت ركيزة التنمية الاقتصادية، يتطرق البحث إلى التنمية السياحية المستدامة، ويناقش دور هذه الأخيرة في التنمية الاقتصادية في العالم العربي. كما يناقش البحث أهمية السياحة كظاهرة اقتصادية واجتماعية، ويطرح للمناقشة مكامن الجذب السياحي العربي، بما يمتلكه من طاقات سياحية معتبرة، هي أكثر من أي وقت مضى، بحاجة إلى المزيد من التقييم والتثمين الحقيقي، والتعريف أكثر فأكثر بالمنتوج السياحي العربي. وإمكانيات وآفاق التسيير الراشد للسياحة العربية، بصفة منفردة في كل قطر عربي، وعلى مستوى الأقطار العربية مجتمعة، ثم يخلص البحث إلى أهم النتائج والتوصيات.

Over the decades, tourism has experienced continued growth, and deepening ‎diversification, to become one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world. ‎Modern tourism is closely linked, to development and encompasses, a growing number ‎of new destinations. These dynamics have turned tourism, into a key driver for, socio-‎economic progress.‎

السياحة أحد أعمدة الاقتصاد في دول عديدة

Today, the business volume of tourism equals or even surpasses that of oil exports, ‎food products or automobiles. Tourism has become also one of the major players, in ‎international commerce and represents, at the same time one of the main income ‎sources, for many developing countries.

This global spread of tourism, in industrialized and developed states, has produced ‎economic and employment benefits, in many related sectors-from construction.

Tourism in the world is regarded more and more today as the locomotive of durable development by it”s effects of drive on other sectors (Agriculture, artisanal activities, culture, transports, services, telecommunications, industries…)
