Accuracy assessment of DEMs produced from different sources utilizing Upper Wadi Al-Lith

Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) obtained from two different sources are used in this study for comparison, utilizing Upper Wadi Al-Lith, west of Saudi Arabia. These DEMs are generated by applying two different techniques; the first is the spatial interpolation of manually digitized elevation points and the other is from Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) which was produced using Remote Sensing (RS) technology. Topographic maps are used here as a reference for comparison. These two DEMs are processed and compared using GIS, and their accuracy and uncertainty are reported.  Fahad S.
