DAIMENSIONING THE COMMUTATING CAPACITORS OF CURRENT SOURCE INVERTER FED INDUCTION MOTOR TO ACHIEVE PERIODICAL INVERTER OPERATION AND CONSTANT TORQUE RANGE

ABSTRACT

The theory of analysis and design the current source inverter fed squirrel cage induction

motor was fully considered in the literature. In the recent years the research is directed to

improve and design the different control strategies. But the numerical design of the power

circuit elements with practical consideration is important task to achieve the desired control

strategies in any region of the speed-torque plane.

This work is devoted to dimensioning the capacitors of the commutating circuit, in such way

to achieve the maximal possible periodical operation of the current source inverter and to

grantee the constant torque region. Full package of mathematical relations, curves and tables

which characterize the considered case with real data is introduced
