ABSTRACT:
This paper presents an analytical evaluation of a new bipolar excitation converter for
supplying three phases Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) the proposed method can
significantly enhance the performance of the SRM in terms of efficiency and power
quality.
The bidirectional power converter is well justified by the extent of our improvement
in performance of SRM drives, higher torque density, lower core losses. The
mathematical analyses of a new drive circuit of voltage applied have been deduced
The different modes of operation of the converter are discussed, and a comparison has
been made with other converters.
