Small projects such as residential buildings, schools and administrative

buildings consitute most of the structures that are executed recently in Egypt.

To achieve the safety and economic purposes in these projects, the paper aims

to study the degree of commitment in appling the stages of quality control of

reinforced concrete structures according to the Egyptian code of practising

the design and construction of reinforced concrete structures.For that

purpose,some small projects in Fayoum with similar executing circumstances

to most projects executed in Egypt, have been taken as a model in order to

evaluate the quality control stages in these projects. Moreover, the paper shed

the light on the most important factors that have positive effect on producing

concrete compatible with the requirements of the Egyptian code according to

the available metods of construction. Finally, the research proposes some

points that can help to overcome the obstacles which confront the application

of quality control in these projects.
